The Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns enter the 2024 season as some of the league’s most intriguing contenders, and the first week of the preseason will be a good showcase of what both rosters are capable of.

Both coaches have said that starters on both sides of the ball will play on Saturday, making this contest a bit more interesting and competitive than most.

The returning Celtic fans discovered a new hero as Kyogo Furuhashi hit a hat-trick on his home debut in a 6-0 victory against Dundee. The Japan international scored twice from close range in the first half before sealing his treble immediately then going off to the acclaim of 24,500 supporters midway through the second period.

The Scudetto is still heading to Naples, but for one weekend Serie A belonged to the city of Rome. On Friday, Lazio toppled the league leaders at their own stadium. On Sunday, Roma beat the Juventus side who would be second if it weren’t for the 15-point penalty given to them at the start of this year.

Both games followed a similar pattern in being settled by a second-half goal. Lazio’s reward was to finish the weekend third in the table. Roma are one point behind them in joint-fourth.
